KANIPAKAM: The Varasiddhi Vinayaka Swamy Temple of Kanipakam in Chittoor district was resplendent with spiritual fervour as devotees flocked to it in hordes on the occasion of Vinayaka Chavithi or Ganesh Chaturthi on Wednesday.

The temple, most renowned for hosting 'Swayambhu Vinayaka Swamy' (self-manifested presiding deity), came alive with floral decorations all around its premises.

Andhra Pradesh Minister for Energy, Forests and Mining Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy visited the temple on this auspicious occasion. Together with his wife, he presented silk robes to the Lord on behalf of the State Government. The authorities, in turn, presented the minister with 'seshavastram' and framed photos of Lord Ganesha.
